After my long day at school and doing a lot of homework I decided to call it a night and go to bed. I was having a tough time sleeping, flipping left and right. I was doing everything I can just to get away from it all and get some rest. Then all of a sudden I felt something hit my head, it was a little rock. I was saying to myself where could this have come from? Then I heard a little voice that greeted me with a “hello.” I was scared at first and said back ” who are and where did you come from?”
He responded back with ” I’m the prince of Yankee Island, I’m down here.” I still was looking around and couldn’t find him.
“I’m sorry I think I’m going crazy, I don’t see you where are you?”
As I said this I was again hit by another rock in the chin. Following that I felt something heavy on my knee and as I look down I saw a little man climbing on my knee. Once I saw this I was very frightened and did not know what to do. The little man told me not to worry and he explained who he was. He was the king of Yankee Island and was here to make sure my friends and I were Yankee fans. I explained to the man who was dressed in all Yankee apparel that we were huge Yankee fans and we would never root for anyone else. He said he was pleased and left. I finally got a good night sleep after such a weird day and night.

This is article is about Matt La Porte, a student who was murder in the April 16, 2007 shooting at Virgina Tech. He was a quiet child, but extremely profound according to his parents. He also played the cello and the drums and was greatly loyal to his parents and his parents. He also had the barest of essentials.
This article was written to show how people’s lives can be taken in a unexpected time. It also explains how a mother tells stories of her son when he was younger and how she and the rest of the family are trying to move on. This article also tells about how the family tries to forgive the man even though he is too dead. The family is trying to adapt to life without him.
Five interesting facts I found in this article are that Matt’s family is completely faith-based. You can not allow yourself to hold grudges against people. Many of life’s actions are unexpected. Even though, we sin by omission we must seek out the those who are like mind and join each other. April 16 will be remebred as a sadden day all over the world.
This article relates to my life because these type of things happen everyday. People loose family members almost everyday and they learn to move on and live with what had happened. People have to be strong and believe that God will help them through the hard times. These help people get through these everyday.
If I was in charge of writing this article I wouldn’t change much. But, the only thing I would change is that I would describe the story of Virgina Tech a little more to the people that don’t know about it. Otherwise it describes about Matt and what he was like when he was younger and gives a good detail about him. I think the best part is when it tells people you have to be strong and believe in the help of God to get past these troubles.

Today I am starting the process of looking for colleges that interest me.Even though I have not taken the SAT or ACT yet I still like to get a feel for what colleges look for and what they accommodate. I like to look for what colleges offer such as sports, clubs, and academics. I am excited to start the process for college.
The first thing I would look for in my college choices are what their majors offer and see if they have what I am interested in. To me, finding a major is the most important because it is setting you up to be what you want in life. I believe you should have a good idea of what you want to major in before you go to college.
I also look for how much the colleges cost. Since most likely I will not be paying for it myself, I have to look for something that accommodates my family as well. That is why my parents will also help me in my choice of college. They have already been through it and their help will be very helpful.
The last thing I will look for in my college will be the location. To me going far away or staying home really doesn’t matter but I wouldn’t like to go too far out. Depending where I go will also effect the extra costs. My parents would also probably like me to stay closer to home.
So these are mostly what I look for in a college that interests me. I’m sure I will be getting more information as I get older and learn more about the entire process. I am excited to learn about the colleges and what they have to offer. I can’t wait to start the process!

To me this quote means that doing the right thing to help someone may not be cool to other people and the second part means that being popular may not always be right because they could get you to be someone your not and make bad choices.

This article takes place in Geneva, Switzerland and is about Iran inviting nuclear inspector to inspect there newly revealed uranium enrichment facility. Iran says that the inspector should arrive “soon” to check it out. Iran claims that their new nuclear set up is for peaceful purposes but many believe it is for the development of nuclear weapons. Former U.S. President Carter is asking Washington to take a stand on the situation.
Carter was quoted saying “I hope and pray that Iran will be induced to permit international inspectors to come in and observe their entire nuclear program, because what they’re doing so far is completely illegal under the nonproliferation treaty.”
He and many others believe their nuclear site is trying to be used more than to make peace.
